This is what went into my morning smoothie. For a well balanced start to your day add mostly greens, some healthy fats like 1/4 avocado, nuts, coconut or nut milk, with some low glycemic fruit like berries. Use a protein powder of choice (I tend to favor collagen) and I sprinkle in cinnamon for flavor and to regulate blood sugar. Fruit should be the smallest ingredient in your blender and this balance will not spike your blood sugar and will fill you up for 3-5 hours!
