Let me share some simple strategies that work in my life.

Strategy #1

The One-Minute Meditation
In this day and age, we are surrounded by the hustle and bustle of a fast-paced work world and technology. No matter how hard we try, the stress just seems to creep in from trying to keep up with everything.

If you’re the kind of person who’s got a little more stress than you’d like (and, honestly, who doesn’t feel that way, sometimes?), you have to try this one-minute meditation.

This quick meditation will help you to center yourself and find some inner peace amidst the chaos of everyday life. Not only that, but it will help you to reduce inflammation in the body and decrease the toxic load on your organs.

Option 1: To do the one-minute meditation, breathe in slowly for 15 seconds, then exhale slowly for 15 seconds. Then repeat.

That’s it. It’s really that simple.

Option 2: If you’d like to change it up, you can breathe in one nostril and exhale out the other, switching the nostrils for inhalation and exhalation on the second round. You could also play around with how long you breathe in for and how long you breathe out for. The longer the inhalation, the more energy you will have. The longer the exhalation, the more relaxed you will feel.

Experiment, and see what works for you.

 

Strategy #2

Gratitude & Affirmations
The wonders having gratitude can do for your life are pretty amazing. When you are grateful for the little things, the big things just seem to start falling right in place. Using affirmations help you have more control over what is happening in your life also. Have you ever noticed when you believe something will go wrong, it does? The same goes for when you believe only the best will happen. Say it. Claim it and it shall be done.

Option 1: Make sure to write a gratitude list every morning or evening. Do what fits best in your schedule. This gratitude list can include big things or what may seem like the smallest things (that are actually the biggest of all) such as waking up today.

Option 2: Say affirmations when you wake up and before you go to sleep.

    • “I am grateful for today”
    • “I am grateful for my health”
    • “I let go of what does not serve me”

Ask yourself, “what is stopping me from living in the now?

 

Strategy #3

Make sure to eat high vibrational foods. Start your day with a healthy smoothie like the one below.

HAPPY SMOOTHIE RECIPE

    • 1 ½ cups dairy free milk
    • 1 cup blueberries
    • 1 kiwi
    • 1 cup spinach
    • 1 tablespoon flax seeds
    • ½ avocado
    • Dash of cayenne

Blend all ingredients in a high-speed blender.
