Does this sound like you?
Something Needs to Change.
You’re looking to experience profound, life-changing growth rather than simply achieving a single short-term objective. You may want more balance and better boundaries, without overwhelm, chaos and stress, instead of feeling depleted and exhausted all the time.
It’s Time to Take Care of Yourself.
Instead of taking care of everyone else, it’s time to take care of you. Maybe you’re hoping to change some undesirable habits and begin healthy ones that you know deep down will serve you well. It may be time to live in alignment with your true nature, authentic self and have more joy.
You’re Feeling Stuck.
You might be going through a challenging time professionally or personally and have a strong intention to find your footing again. It’s normal to lose your equilibrium sometimes and a coaching relationship can help you find your way.
I can help you to explore the areas of your life where you feel stuck and support you to discover new ways to achieve your desired outcomes. Even if you think you don’t have time, we can find it together.

Transformational wellness coaching is a holistic approach to personal development that helps individuals achieve lasting change in their overall well-being.
Unlike traditional coaching, which often focuses on specific goals like losing weight or improving fitness, transformational wellness coaching addresses deeper issues, including mindset, emotional health, spiritual growth, and lifestyle habits. It aims to create lasting shifts in an individual’s life by focusing on the whole person—mind, body, and spirit.
Key Elements of Transformational Wellness Coaching:
- Holistic Approach: Coaches focus on multiple aspects of life, such as physical health, mental clarity, emotional resilience, and spiritual connection. The goal is to harmonize all areas of life to create balance and wellness.
- Self-Awareness: Clients are guided to deepen their understanding of themselves, uncovering limiting beliefs, values, and patterns that may be hindering their growth.
- Mindset Shifts: Transformational coaching focuses heavily on shifting mindset. Clients work on overcoming self-doubt, fear, and other mental barriers to unlock their potential and achieve sustainable change.
- Emotional Healing: A key focus is often on emotional well-being, helping clients to process and heal past trauma or emotional blockages that impact their present.
- Personal Growth: The ultimate goal is personal transformation, where clients experience growth not just in achieving specific goals but in how they relate to themselves, others, and the world.
- Sustainable Lifestyle Changes: Unlike quick fixes, this approach encourages long-term lifestyle changes that promote lasting well-being, such as integrating mindfulness practices, better nutrition, and positive habits into daily life.
- Empowerment: The process is designed to empower individuals to take control of their lives and make conscious, aligned decisions that promote health, happiness, and success.
Techniques Used:
- Mindfulness and Meditation: To help clients gain clarity and reduce stress.
- Internal Family Systems Techniques (IFS): To bring awareness to the different parts of us, and help individuals address and integrate these parts to achieve a balanced and healthy internal dialog.
- Trauma-informed HeartMath Techniques: To provide stress-reduction tools that support emotional balance.
- Nuero Affective Relational Model (NARM): To encourage clients to reconnect with their own agency and reclaim their sense of choice, strength and self-determination.
- Cognitive Behavioral Techniques (CBT): To shift limiting thoughts and behaviors.
- Goal Setting and Visualization: For creating a clear path to the desired transformation.
- Somatic Practices: For integrating mind-body awareness and healing.
This type of coaching is ideal for individuals looking to experience profound, life-changing growth rather than simply achieving a single short-term objective.
Hi. I’m Carla Alpert, National Board-Certified Health & Wellness Coach
My health journey started at six years old and continued until I found support in various ways like immersing myself in learning, becoming my own advocate, trauma therapy, coaching, and through functional medicine.
The short version of my story is that early on, I struggled with my digestion on and off. It got worse over the years and I experienced chronic and debilitating symptoms, that sometimes left me unable to go out of the house. These chronic symptoms started to take over my life.
On top of this, I developed many survival strategies to help me cope with growing up in an unstable environment. The physical symptoms and survival strategies created a lot of dysregulation in my nervous system, creating overwhelm and anxiety that I carried into adulthood as well. This showed up as perfectionism, over-working, people pleasing, lack of boundaries and chronic physical symptoms.
As I began to heal, I wanted to help others do the same so I pursued studies in Functional Medicine, wellness coaching and trauma-informed modalities. I love to learn and I’m still a work in progress, but my proudest accomplishment is my curiosity and commitment to my own self-growth even when it takes a lot of courage. I know what it’s like to have a broken spirit and poor health and to feel isolated and afraid. I also know what it feels like to heal and live life fully again. This is my wish for you.
“I know the power of functional medicine and lifestyle change to regain one’s life. This is why I am so passionate about standing side-by-side with my clients to help them stop struggling so they can start living their best life again too.”
